The laboratory equipment allows many tests to be carried out following several analytical techniques:

• METALS: atomic absorption, graphite furnace, hydrides system, ICP-OES, ICP-MS, microwave digestors.
• VOLATILE ORGANIC COMPOUNDS: purge and trap coupled to mass gas chromatography, SPME system, FID and ECD gas chromatography, FID and MS.
• ANIONS: ion chromatography, UV-VIS spectrophotometry.
• ASBESTOS: optical microscopy in phase contrast, SEM, FT-IR spectrophotometry.
• MICROBIOLOGY: PCR, autoclave, class 2 laminar flow hoods, stomacher, thermostats, Maldi-TOF, TEMPO® e VIDAS®.
• EMISSIONS AND ENVIRONMENT SAMPLING MATERIAL: portable FID, quartz dioxin sampling system, Horiba PG350, high and low flow pumps, PM10, PM5 and PM 2.5.
• SEMIVOLATILE ORGANIC COMPOUNDS: quadrupolar and QQQ GC-MS, HPLC/QQQ.
• POP’S AND PESTICIDES: ECD, FID, NPD gas chromatography, quadrupolar and triple quadrupolar GC-MS, HPLC/QQQ, automatic Soxhlet extraction systems.

Comie Laboratory:

is certified by ACCREDIA , with number 0346, as a test laboratory for many tests in the environment and food fields. This accreditation involves the control of the laboratory’s technical competence, in compliance with the UNI CEI EN ISO/IEC 17025 rules. It has a quality management system of the company and environmental conforming to the norms UNI EN ISO 9001:2015 and UNI EN ISO 14001:2015, certified by SQS with registration number CH-35471 for “execution of physical-chemical tests on different matrices such as: air, water, soil, waste and food”. These certifications testify the voluntary application of a management system that allows the pursuit of customers satisfaction regarding the offered services.

It has a management system for health and safety at work according to the UNI ISO 45001:2018 standard, certified by SQS with registration number CH-50489 for “execution of physical-chemical tests on different matrices such as: air, water, soil, waste and food”. This certification certifies the voluntary application of a system that allows the creation of a safe and healthy working environment, preventing work-related injuries and illnesses.

It is qualified by the Italian Ministry of Health for asbestos analysis, prot. 400.X/3.7.8/92 following the Ministerial Decree 07/07/97.

The laboratory is entered in the regional registers of the Piedmont region of qualified laboratories to carry out tests with the aim of self control following the Legislative Decree 193/07.

The laboratory takes part in the inter-laboratory tests planned by different circuits organizations according to the UNI EN ISO 17043, regarding chemical, physical, chemical-physical and microbiological parameters.
